At CME, we always invest in professional training as a priority and determining instrument for our organisation's success. Apart from the training activity resulting from our employees' normal technical-professional development, in 2010 we launched a more ambitious and structured project: the foundation of a Training Centre of Excellence, of a predominantly technical nature which, in addition to technically training our employees, promoted experience sharing and technological innovation. Thus was born the CME Training Centre in Lousã.
In 2014, this project's success led to the consolidation of all activities - of the Lousã Training Centre and other training branches, meanwhile established throughout the country - into a focused structure for services provision in the technical/technological training field, based on the following commitments:
- Meticulous course preparation, at the level of programming, content and support.
- Formation and maintenance of an internal technical and pedagogically prepared team of trainers.
- Development and maintenance of training parks with suitable infrastructure for theoretical and practical training, in the technological concerned fields.
We call this structure the ProCME Academy.
At the Academy, we aim to enhance the attraction, development and subsequent candidates recruitment wishing to work at CME, to help young people join the labour market, and to promote professional qualification and retraining.
CME (the company that manages the Academy) is a Training Entity accredited by DGERT (General Directorate for Employment and Labour Relations) since 2001 (at that time, INOFOR), in the following training fields:
- Design of interventions, programmes, instruments and training supports.
- Organisation and promotion of training interventions or activities.
- Development/execution of training interventions or activities.
This certification covers (among others) the following educational and training areas:
- 522 - Electricity and energy.
- 523 - Electronics and automation.
- 862 - Safety and hygiene at work.
Beyond this certification, of more general scope, CME also has the following accreditations/recognitions:
- Power Sector: AQTSE/EDP.
- Telecommunications sector: ANACOM, PT.
- Occupational Health and Safety Sector: IEP/EDP, PT.
